Hi! Welcome to my website and blog! I'm Maddie and I'm so excited to start blogging and sharing some of my sessions as well as advice at making your photo experience everything you've dreamed!
Since this is my first blog post, I thought I would introduce myself a bit! I've grown up in Las Vegas, Nevada. When I was 11 or 12 years old, my mom decided to take up photography. When she started booking weddings, I would go along and assist her. I always dreamed of my own wedding and loved seeing all the beautiful brides, wedding dresses, venues, decorations, and especially the love between the newlyweds. After a while of holding bags and helping with dress trains, my mom handed me her backup camera and let me second shoot at weddings. I was in HEAVEN. I loved being creative and capturing the little details and emotions of the day. In 2011, I got my first DSLR for Christmas. I took photos of everything and my mom taught me all the ins and outs while I continued to second shoot at her sessions. My senior year I started to take on my own clients.
After high school, I went up to freezing Rexburg, Idaho (a complete opposite from the burning weather I was used to!) and attended BYU-Idaho. While up there, I reconnected with my high school friend, Avishay Chand. We had gone to a few dances together in high school, but we were just friends. When he came up to BYU-I after his mission, things were different and we started dating. Avi and I got married in August of 2018 and it was the best decision I ever made!
We both finished up school at BYU-I in April. Leaving Rexburg was harder than I thought it would be, but now we're back in Vegas with our families and are excited to see where life will take us!
